Eva is our little shoe-sucker. If there is a shoe left in her eyesight she
will crawl over (right past her baby toys) and give it a taste.
Needless to say, we have to be vigilant about where we leave our shoes. It
could be a case of shoe envy as she has yet to get her own "real" pair.
What Eva is not excited about putting into her mouth is food. She had her first
meal of baby cereal at our Mother's Day brunch. Since then she has rejected sweet potato, applesauce, bananas, and pears. As soon as the food passes her lips
her tongue gets to work shovelling it out or she blows it out of her mouth -
making great sound effects. Obviously, nursing is no problem for her,
and the pediatrician said not to worry as she is "off-the-charts" for her height
and she is a healthy weight .
Summer was here for three hot days. We went to the mountains with some of
Carlo's friends to cool off in the river. Eva and Arianna played on the
blanket while Elin and Carlo headed into the water. After spending some
time by the river we went up to the playground and the children ran
around the misting pole.
Enrico has finished teaching and we are hoping to return to some sort of
normalcy - if we can remember what that is.

On Mama's lap.

The first bite.

In the bath.

Bathing beauty.

In the river (yes, there is a parent just out of the frame).

Running through the mist.

Crawling around (sporting her father's sweater from his days as a baby).

Puma Bebe.

Checking out the fire station.

Papa with the two little ones.

Papa and Eva.

River in the mountains.

Sweet dreams.
See you next month...
