Last month we had a visit from Ya-Ya (Enrico's mother). During her visit one day
we had a lovely walk through the redwoods, although Carlo wanted to spend
all of his time with the model train at the visitor's center.

Eva is busy cruising about and loves to hang onto our legs as she practices
standing and taking a few steps. She is very active and curious.
She would rather be exploring than sleeping, which means that naptime is a struggle.

Even though daily life keeps us busy whenever we can we go to the beach.
Eva crawls for the waves without any fear and is completely unpetreded if she gets
sand in her face. And after some initial reluctance Carlo now charges into
the waves, thus keeping Enrico and I ready to pull him out if necessary.
