It is time for catch-up. We have hopefully ended one of the more
dramatic periods of our life. I never thought I would fall this far behind in the updates,
but Santa Cruz has been a never-ending font of surprises - and not the happy kind. From the
many undisclosed problems with our newly purchased house, to multiple thefts
(bye-bye laptops), and a stalker in the neighborhood (who is now in prison) it has
been a harrowing last several months.
Nonetheless, the children have been growing strong and have taken
the events of the year in stride. Looking back at the photos from February it reminds
of how estatic they are when we have guests. Our dear friends from New Mexico came
to visit and Carlo and Eva immediately welcomed Elena. They had a wonderful evening of play
and are looking forward to seeing her at Christmas.
