Around the middle of July we flew to Santa Fe for a month to provide
a little care and much diversion during my father's recuperation. The first week was a little bumpy (Enrico
stayed in Santa Cruz for the first two weeks), but with a membership to the children's museum and trips to the
events at the many other museums things got much better. The children learned how to make Indonesian
shadow puppets, made batik pieces, and saw portrayals of colonial life in New Mexico. Another
highlight was Music on the Park on Mondays and Wednesdays. The children danced to salsa, blues,
and rock and roll as well as listened to soloists from the Santa Fe Opera sing. And they attended
the gallery openings on Friday nights. Their favorite was an outside gallery of kinetic spiral pieces.
The camera started to show signs of wear -prematurely brought on by some nameless young photography
enthusiasts- thus, the photos are a bit over-exposed.

Up in the air.
