Month twenty-five

Happy new year!

It was good to be back in Santa Fe for Christmas. Like in Mexico last year, "going home" gives
us a much needed break.

Carlo got one of his Christmas wishes early as it snowed the day before Christmas Eve. While Eva
was not enthusiastic about the snow, Carlo was eager to sled and shovel snow.

We celebrated Christmas Eve at our dear friends home, Chuck and Elaine (they were Enrico's host
family when he first went to Los Alamos). Elaine put out a fabulous spread of New Mexican dishes.
Santa Claus even arrived to pass out presents. Carlo was the first child to run to give him a cookie,
while Eva preferred not to be in the same room with the bearded stranger.

Santa filled stockings at my father's house. My mother provided a lovely brunch and then there was
more present opening. And then we dined on Christmas ham with my father and his girlfriend in the
evening with yet more present opening.

The children enjoyed frequent visits to the children's museum and their parents enjoyed three (!)
nights of dancing. We became big fans of Agua Bendita and hope that they will visit the Bay Area soon.
