Carlo is one and half years old now and is working on
all sorts of new
skills. Drawing is one of his passions. He draws in the tub, on the sidewalk,
at his table as well as some prohibited places- the floor, on pillowcases,
etc.
We went to visit my grandfather at his weekend cottage
in Michiana Shores,
which is on Lake Michigan. Most days were filled with rain, but we always
had
a few dry hours to go down and walk on the beach. We met with several
members of the
extended family and have some
more photos to share.
Mercer County held an event called Touch-A-Truck event.
Carlo is wild about
fire trucks, school buses, diggers, etc. so we knew we had to take him.
On arrival Carlo was completely overwhelmed. There were tree cutting trucks
to fire
engines to every type of construction vehicle. Children could enter the
vehicles and
sit behind the wheel...and beep the horn (imagine the cacophony). At the
end of
the event Carlo and I were invited to ride in a giant dump truck - what
a finale.

Walking down to the beach.

Pointing the way.

Out to the water.

Sticks and stones - the best playthings on the beach.

A laugh.

Drawing in the sand.

The boys

Which truck first?

Let's drive.

Ready to go for a ride.
See you in
next month.
