Week 42 of Carlo

Christmas in Mexico was more about the sand than snow. Carlo had his
first experiences with water outside of the bath - ocean, pool, and shower -
and enjoyed more sand than fits into the sanbox at the park at home. For Carlo
the true joy of joys was being able to pass the days half-dressed.

We went to Ixtapa for the beach and then to visit the towns of Tequisquiapan and
Bernal outside of Mexico City (view more photos). Christmas, we celebrated in Mexico City.
Due to Carlo's bedtime (and his erratic sleep pattern while on the
vacation) presents were opened at 6 and the midnight dinner at 9.

Present opening continued in Princeton as his Grandmother had sent us boxes
of gifts. Carlo received so many gifts from his grandparents, and after
the initial excitement of the new toys came celebratory waving and tearing
of the wrapping paper.

Back in Princeton, Carlo prepares to open gift from his grandmother.

Carlo reads The Night Before Christmas.

Carlo examines one of his new birds.

And finally there was the frenetic joy of tearing up the wrapping paper.

Until next month...
