| Corsica - back to the sun...again | ||||
We found ourselves in Cargese on the island of Corsica. Enrico was attending a Microquasar Conference, and I decided to come along (a very good decision). The institute hosting the conference arranged a little flat for us to stay in. It was clean and simple, but the view from the balcony was five-star. |

While sitting on the couch writing postcards I looked up to see this view through the window. | |||
| The beauty of Corsica was exceeded by the friendliness of the people we meet at the conference. Sitting next to me is Annalisa, Tom, and Sebastian. We are about to make a very serious descision- which one of the many little restaurants around Cargese we would eat in (and this did take some time). |  |

Irene! You may have seen the photos of her that I took on the day after the birth. Here she is 8 months later. She has intense blue eyes and loves to sing. She was a star with all the elderly tourists around Cargese. | |||
| Alessandra, Irene, and I went on a few walks around the village during the mornings as well as spending some time by the pool. |  |

Cargese gave asylum to Greek refugees that were escaping Ottoman rule in the 17th century. The influence of these refugees is found in some of the names on the villas, and in the presence of the Greek Orthodox church. | |||
