South of Ireland- defining green |

There are times when you arrive to a place and something within you suddenly begins to resonate. You are at home when your mind tells you that you are not. You feel the place as if from a lost memory. And you explore it with an unknown familiarity. This happened to me in the south of Ireland, even though green hills and hidden deserted beaches are far from familiar to my desert home. |

Our idea was
to camp the whole trip, and while our tent was great (a much appreciated
wedding present) it could not hold up to the strong winds and rains that
we encounter out on the Dingle Peninsula.

Cliffs and beaches line the Dingle Peninsula which leads out to the westernmost point of Europe. |

Along the peninsula we stopped several times to walk along beaches and take photos of the views (unfortunately, one whole roll was for slides not photos, so you are missing much of our trip!). |
