Carlo in Santa Fe 2005

Carlo and his Grandmother Susan relaxing at the Salmon Ranch after a few hours of raspberry picking

My mother and I picked the raspberries while Enrico entertained Carlo and talked to the locals. The experience of raspberry picking will prevent me from ever complaining about the price of raspberries again. It is a hot prickly business and the fun of eating fresh raspberries does wear thin after the first hour.

This is the quintessential northern New Mexico photo. Hollyhocks, adobe wall, and blue shutters.

Salmon Ranch has beautiful gardens thriving within the walls of an old adobe house. It is a gorgeous place to visit during the summer as well as the surrounding area, Mora, which is seldom visited by tourists. .
